Deliverance: An Oral History in the August/September 2015 Issue of Garden & Gun
If you love southern literature and southern film, then you know that southerner's love to spin a good yarn. In the August/September 2015 issue of Garden & Gun magazine, Delivering 'Deliverance' by John Meroney, is a look back at the making of the film "Deliverance" (1972). An adaptation of James Dickey's novel, this oral history shows that making the film "Deliverance" was almost as much a southern adventure as shooting the rapids if more than a little bit more fun, with all of the colorful characters that you would expect in a southern classic.
